I'm excited about the paving and infrastructure projects happening along Buchanan and Arthur Avenue. These projects will slow traffic, introduce bike lanes and make it safer for pedestrians to cross.  But this is just the beginning, both 28th Avenue and Monroe will be paved in the Spring of 2020. I'm receiving questions regarding when paving will be complete on Buchanan. The short answer is: it depends.The weather must be near 50 degrees to install the plastic thermal markings. Here is a VERY tentative timeline:

One Week: Paving Complete

Two Weeks: Temporary Markings

30 Days from Paving Completion: Permanent Striping, Bike Lane Painting and Pedestrian Island Installations 

45 Days: New Signage and Bike Lane Markers 

This is all weather dependent.  Please be prepared for delays and workers along Buchanan.
